Capital Tower Profile
Capital Tower was initially built as the POSBank’s headquarters. But eventually, the ownership was transferred to CapitaLand and took the company’s name and became its flagship building. The tower was completed in 2000. The building was designed by RSP Architects, Planners & Engineers. The main contractor of the building was the Ssangyong Group. The tower was built at a cost of $176 million.

It has a total of 52 floors and a total floor area of 95,500 sq. meters or 1,028,000 sq. ft. the building has a total of 20 passenger elevators and 2 service elevators. 5 of the passenger elevators are double-deck lifts that can accommodate 3,540 kg and travel at 10m/s.
The Capital Tower is quite distinct in the Singapore skyline, especially at night. The logo fixed on the building and other portions of the structure change their lights every few seconds, making them quite a visual treat at night.
